Last night

Courage does not always roar.  Sometimes it is a quiet voice at the end of the day, saying . . . I will try again tomorrow.”
~ Mary Anne Radmacher

  1. Tara--you do not have to march through this valley of shadow as a conquering heroine in order to beat this thing. You are so wise to be patient and tolerant with yourself. I read in a book on hiking above 13000 feet that when the going gets tough, you should ask yourself "can I move one foot one step forward?" and if you can, do it. Actually that is pretty good advice for any difficult life passage. You are already doing this, one step at a time. You are also surrounded by such a web of love and support that when your strength for a step falters, your family and friends will be there to carry you.

  2. Thank you so much for this comment. I love your hiking analogy and I will remember it as I move on. May I ask who this is? Do I know you?

    1. Tara, it's Suzanne Baker, Gavin and Allison's mother--somehow the google name came out wrong--it should have been Texas in the Hudson Valley. I read your blog and think strong thoughts for you.
